This Privacy Policy covers undercurrentresearchlabs.com — the corporate site and publishing surface of Undercurrent Research Labs, Inc. (the "Company," "we," "us," "our"). It does NOT cover the Undercurrent SaaS platform; that service operates under a separate privacy policy at theundercurrentapp.com/privacy.
1. What we collect on this site
Almost nothing. This site is a static publication. It does not have user accounts, forms, login systems, or any data-collection mechanism. The only personal data that reaches us is what you send when you click an email link (such as the founder's email address on the About page or the accessibility-feedback link).
The site does not use:
- Tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Segment, no Plausible, no anything)
- Advertising or marketing pixels
- Session storage of any user-identifying information
- IP-address logging beyond standard CDN access logs (which Cloudflare retains for fraud and security purposes per their terms)
2. How we use what we receive
When you email us at david@undercurrentresearchlabs.com or any other published address on this site, your email and its content are subject to standard email handling. We use that information solely to respond to you. We do not add you to a marketing list, do not sell or share your information, and do not retain it beyond what is reasonably needed for the correspondence.
3. Where the site is hosted
The site is served from Cloudflare Pages (global edge network) with paper PDFs served from Cloudflare R2 (custom domain: cdn.undercurrentresearchlabs.com). Content is rendered from a Sanity-hosted CMS. None of these services collect identifying information about site visitors beyond standard hosting-infrastructure logs.
4. The Undercurrent product
If you are looking for the privacy policy of the Undercurrent SaaS platform — the analytical discipline operationalized for fractional executives — that policy is at theundercurrentapp.com/privacy. The product is subject to its own data-handling terms.
5. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data on this site, there is no data subject access request to process. If you have written to us by email and would like that correspondence deleted from our records, contact david@undercurrentresearchlabs.com and we will purge it.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with a privacy framework, the absence of data collection on this site means most of those frameworks do not engage. 6. Changes
We may update this policy if the site's data practices change. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. If we add forms, analytics, or any other data-collection mechanism, we will update this policy first and provide notice on the site.
